Central High School
Aviation
The Aviation and Drone Technology program introduces students to flight, aeronautics, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Students gain hands-on experience in aerial photography, mapping, and data processing, and work toward earning their FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. Through fieldwork and partnerships with local organizations, students apply drone technology in real-world contexts like cinematography, archaeology, geology, environmental science, and public safety. The program builds a strong foundation for careers in aviation, engineering, and other drone-enabled fields.
